Boyne Forever Foundation Opens Inaugural Grant Cycle

First round of Environment, Community, and Team Grants Opens on June 1st

BOYNE FALLS, Mich., June 1, 2026 — The Boyne Forever Foundation, the public charity of Boyne Resorts, today announced the opening of its inaugural grant cycle, accepting applications from eligible nonprofit organizations and charities with CRA status across the communities where Boyne Resorts operates. Applications open June 1, and grant awards will be announced by June 30, 2026.

The Foundation focuses on three core pillars: protecting mountain ecosystems and watersheds (Environment), strengthening the communities that surround Boyne's 13 resort locations (Community), and investing in the education and well-being of Boyne Resorts' team members (Team).

“Boyne Resorts was built on a bold belief that outdoor spaces can transform lives and communities,” said Michelle Wein, Executive Director of the Boyne Forever Foundation. “The Boyne Forever Foundation is about honoring the legacy of both the places and the people that have shaped the Boyne Resorts family for decades. Each resort is unique, but we all share the same values and respect for the heritage sports, natural places, and mountain communities that have endured for generations—and ensuring they endure for generations to come. This inaugural grant cycle will help realize the goal of The Boyne Forever Foundation and positively impact the people and places that make Boyne strong.”

What the Foundation Funds

Environment: Projects that protect or restore native landscapes, safeguard wildlife, improve watershed and water quality, and advance community-led sustainability and climate solutions in resort regions.

Community: Programs that address food insecurity, housing, and mental health; expand access to outdoor recreation for underserved populations; and support youth and family programs that build connection and confidence in the outdoors.

Team: Scholarships for Boyne Resorts employees pursuing higher education or professional development, and emergency hardship support for team members facing unexpected financial crises. (Hardship grants are reviewed on a rolling basis year-round.)

Eligibility

Eligible applicants include registered charities with CRA status, nonprofit organizations with 501(c)(3) status, schools, municipalities, tribal entities, and First Nations whose proposed projects serve communities where Boyne Resorts operates. The Foundation welcomes applications from across its 13 resort regions in northern Michigan, Montana, Maine, New Hampshire, Washington, Utah, Tennessee, and British Columbia.
